WRHBA represents over 225 members comprised of the residential construction industry. GOVERNMENT REPRESENTATION ON THREE LEVELS

Together our voice at the municipal, provincial, and federal level is very strong. Representatives at all three levels of the association interact regularly with elected officials and bureaucrats ensuring that when decisions are made those making them are informed.

COMMUNICATION

Regular communication providing an excellent opportunity to stay in touch with the industry issues. Breaking news is rapidly disseminated to members.

NETWORKING

One of the most celebrated reasons for membership is the networking possibilities afforded to members. Opportunities to stay in touch with clients, peers, and the development of new relationships while growing your business are available through a multitude of activities.

Corporate sponsorship opportunities available at all WRHBA events can enhance your membership experience both within the industry and with consumers.

ADVOCACY

Waterloo Region Home Builders' Association actively participates through a number of committees organized to represent the interests of the Association related to building and development issues within our region. Through ongoing representation to municipal government, media relations and consumer education, we address important issues head on and have a strong presence that benefits members and contributes to housing affordability and the well-being of communities across Canada. WRHBA coordinates its advocacy efforts with Canadian Home Builders' Association, Ontario Home Builders' Association and other Home Builders' Associations.

Waterloo Region Home Builders' Association has several municipal liaison committees. Monthly reports are provided by the Committee Chairs through a newsletter entitled "Advocacy in Action".

DINNER MEETINGS

Waterloo Region Home Builders' Association's members meet eight times a year at Golf's Steak House and Seafood Restaurant - Kitchener. These monthly meetings provide an excellent opportunity for members to come together to network and to be kept informed on the latest issues affecting the industry. On average over 120 members attend these dinner meetings which take place the third Thursday in September, October, November, January, February, March, April and May.
